WACKY WORLD OF WEATHER

Why all of a sudden am I doing stories on the air about earthquakes in the upstate? This is weird. A small earthquake was reported yesterday afternoon (Tuesday July 24th, 2012) centered in Spartanburg County. Officials say the 2.0 magnitude quake shook the ground about 4 p.m. 2 miles northwest of Pacolet. No damage or injuries reported.
But quakes and shakes are the only weird weather wackiness going on…we have had storms for how many days in a row now? And winds, hail, lightning, thunder…lots of power outages, trees downed.
All we’re missing are locusts! Shhhh, better hush!
