A growing number are extending the fun of Halloween to their pets, dressing them up in silly costumes for the increasingly adult-centric holiday.
Time magazine reports 15% of Americans plan on dressing up their pets this Halloween, with $370 million expected to be spent on pet costumes. The magazine also says there's been a 40% increase in spending on pet costumes since just 2010.
So what kind of costumes? Real Simple magazine reports that the most popular ones for both dogs and cats are a pumpkin, devil, hot dog and bumblebee.
SO, are you planning to dress up your pet for Halloween? If so, what will the costume be? What do you think of a growing number of folks dressing up their pets for Halloween?
Sorry, but I think it’s a little too weird, but hey, do what you wanna do with your pet. I just know 1 thing for sure, our black Lab OTIS would leave home if we even tried something like that!
