Get in touch with Ed!I have been in radio for 40+ years. My career in this wonderful field started in my hometown of Storm Lake, Iowa back in 1968. Since leaving the nest, I’ve worked in Iowa, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. This includes being an owner of an AM-FM station in Georgia.
My job here at WORD is News Director. This includes staying on top of what is going on in the Upstate and making sure its gets on the air and on our website. I cover various meetings and news conferences thru-out the area. In covering news over my career I've seen just about everything any one news caster can see and experience. From shootings, political careers that rise and fall, weather disasters and more.
I enjoy working for Entercom and the people that are around me from day to day. I also enjoy being the voice for the Greenville Drive during baseball season. If you see me at the field make sure you stop and say hi!

Get In Touch with Eric!It has been a pleasure for me to return to the Upstate as Sports Director for WORD 106.3 FM and as the play by play voice of the Byrnes Rebels. The Upstate is where I began my sports broadcasting career back in 1994 as the play by play voice of the Dorman Cavaliers as well as the Presbyterian College Blue Hose and USC Upstate Spartans. I truly fell in love with Upstate athletics, especially High School. There in 2001 is when I would see my dream realized in the creation of "The Charter High School Football Game Of The Week", where I served as both the play by play announcer and the main ad sales rep for the program. In 2004, my wife Mary (of twenty years) and our two children, Trenton & Kristina returned home to Columbus, Ohio where I joined ONN (The Ohio News Network). Back home is where I used what I learned in S.C. to "turn key" a statewide game of the week. After a successful launch in 2005 (which still airs today), I joined a new "all sports" TV station in 2007. That's when I got to air a lot of stuff, including stock car racing and boy was it fun. Now coming full circle, back to where it all began and with Entercom I feel complete. A large FM signal to call the action of "Palmettos team", The Byrnes Rebels. To work with Russ and Lisa in the morning (and yes, Lonzo, who will tell you I am the Bigger Buckeye fan of us two) The joy of working for and learning from Bob McLain who knows, well, just about everything in sports as well as everything else and of course two very good newsmen in Ed and Lee. It is a pleasure to be associated with these professionals and an honor for me to report to you.
