The Pickens County mother who is accused of killing four family members last year was indicted by the grand jury in that county on Tuesday.
Susan Hendricks, 48, is charged with murder in the Oct. 24, 2011, shooting deaths of her two sons, ex-husband and her stepmother at a home in Liberty. Investigators said that Hendricks claimed that one of her sons killed the other three family members and then turned the gun on himself. However, investigators said Hendricks killed the four people so she could collect the insurance money.
On Tuesday, 13th Circuit Solicitor Walt Wilkins said the county's grand jury returned four indictments against Hendricks for four counts of murder and four counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
In December, prosecutors said they are considering the death penalty in this case.
