Smoke smell prompts plane to land at GSP



Officials at GSP said a Delta flight headed to New York had to return after someone reported smelling smoke.

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport's Vice President of Communications Rosylin Weston said Delta flight number 6102 took off at 7:30 a.m. headed for New York's LaGuardia Airport when someone reported the smell of smoke coming from the plane's lavatory.

Weston said there were 47 passengers on board and there was no report of any injuries.
