Spartanburg, SC -- Representative Bill Chumley prefiled legislation today designed to utilize South Carolina's state sovereignty to protect families and business from Obamacare. Rep. Chumley's bill is "An Act to render null and void certain unconstitutional laws enacted by the Congress of the United States taking control over the health insurance industry and mandating that individuals purchase health insurance under threat of penalty."
Rep. Chumley stated, "Stopping Obamacare is the right thing to do. Obamacare will negatively impact our state and hurt South Carolinians and our small businesses. Additionally it will place an unending financial burden on our children and grandchildren." The legislation has already attracted a number of legislators who expressed interest in being a co-sponsor to the bill. An almost identical bill will be introduced in the SC Senate.
