Duncan man killed after vehicle hit by a train

The crash happened along the tracks running next to Tucapau Road near Syphrit Road. Crews at the scene said there is not a railroad crossing there.

Police at the scene said they think the vehicle was driving along Tucapau when it traveled up the bank of the railroad and was struck by the train.

Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the victim was 47-year-old Richard West Sr., of Duncan. He said West died at the scene but did not release further information about the crash.
