A Greenville businessman who has been in prison for the past year appeared in court in Greenville County on Monday morning where he pleaded guilty.

John Ludwig Jr., 40, pleaded guilty to first offense criminal domestic violence in connection with his November 2011 when police said he hit his wife.

At the time of his arrest, Ludwig was on probation as part of a guilty plea to reckless homicide
