Upstate police officer arrested
COWPENS, S.C. (AP) - An Upstate police officer has been arrested and accused of hitting his girlfriend with a can of beer.
42-year-old Cowpens police officer Carl Preston Clark was arrested early Saturday and charged with criminal domestic violence.
An arrest warrant states Clark struck his 39-year-old girlfriend in the chest with a can of beer. She walked to the police
department and said he struck her and called her names.
